Jaipur: 3 arrested from Delhi for firing at jeweller in Shiprapath

The accused were identified as Faizan Ali, Mohammed Anwar Ali and Faizan Shief. The accused men are residents of Delhi and Bihar. The police have seized a bike, four weapons and 11 cartridges from their possession.

Jaipur: The city police have arrested three men for firing at a jeweller near his home in Shiprapath area 10 days ago. A joint team of Shiprapath police and Jaipur crime branch arrested the accused men from Timarpur area in North Delhi late on Sunday.

The accused were identified as Faizan Ali, Mohammed Anwar Ali and Faizan Shief. The accused men are residents of Delhi and Bihar. The police have seized a bike, four weapons and 11 cartridges from their possession. The trio was produced before a magistrate on Sunday and were sent to five-day police custody for further interrogation.

The three suspects were living in a rented accommodation in Vazirabad area in Delhi.

The three men had fired at jeweller Sunil Goyal when he was on his way home from his shop around 10 pm on August 17. The trio allegedly robbed the jeweller of nearly 12 kg sliver. The accused had drove the victim’s scooty away. The vehicle was found parked at Riddhi Siddhi junction. The police couldn’t recover the valuables and have rushed teams to Delhi and UP.

A police team was formed to locate the robbers. The team studied CCTV footages in the areas. One of the robbers was caught on the CCTV.

“We used mobile surveillance to locate the accused in Noida and Delhi. A team camped in Delhi for almost three days and managed to find the accused men,” said a police officer.
