Jaipur: 19-year-old BTech student commits suicide

Jaipur: An engineering student of a private engineering college situated in Bhankrota on Jaipur-Ajmer national highway committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his hostel room.
The police have recovered a suicide note, however, it doesn’t state as to why he took the extreme step and ended his life.
The student, identified as Digamber Singh, was a resident of Pathena village in Bharatpur district. Singh was living in the college hostel.
He used a towel and other clothes to hang himself from the ceiling.
He was spotted hanging by his hostel mates following which the police were informed. A police team was rushed to his hostel room and got the body down.
“We recovered a suicide note from his room. He has not mentioned in the note why he was committing suicide. He has just written in his diary that that he was going to die,” said a police officer.
The police are recording the statement of his classmates and hostel mates to ascertain the reason behind Singh committing suicide.
A postmortem examination of the body has been conducted.
