Jabalpur-bound SpiceJet flight makes emergency landing at Jaipur airport

The pilots realized there was a snag in the hydraulic system and decided to make an emergency landing.

Jaipur: A SpiceJet flight made an emergency landing at Jaipur airport on Thursday after the pilots detected a snag in the plane’s hydraulic system This flight was on its way to Jabalpur from Kolkata with 25 passengers onboard.

According to preliminary reports, SpiceJet flight number SG-3002 made the emergency landing at the airport. It took off from Kolkata for Jabalpur at around 6.15 am. But on the way to Jabalpur, the pilots realized that there was a snag in the hydraulic system and decided to make an emergency landing to get it rectified.

It’s the third emergency landing at Jaipur airport in the last two weeks.

The pilots informed the Air Traffic Control (ATC) in Jaipur and after getting a green signal, they made the landing. A team of engineers is working on the aircraft to rectify it.  Arrangements are being made to send the passengers to Jabalpur by another plane.

On July 14, an IndiGo flight 6E-859 on way to Vadodara from Delhi made a precautionary emergency landing in Jaipur after developing a technical snag in the engine.

The windshield of Go First’s plane which took off from Delhi for Guwahati on July 20 cracked in the air, to the horror of about 150 passengers. The plane made an emergency landing at Jaipur airport.
