IPD tests at SMS Hospital in Jaipur partially centralised
Radiology tests are also to be shifted to the newly built investigation block on the third floor of Dhanvantari outdoor.

Jaipur: Patients at SMS Hospital in Jaipur will not have to run around for inpatient care (IPD) tests. SMS Hospital has partially implemented its project to centralise IPD tests. Most of the IPD tests would be done on the third floor of the Dhanvantari outdoor in the hospital now. An ‘Investigation Block’ had recently been built and it will be used for IPD tests.
The tests include microbiology, biochemistry and pathology. Till now, a patient had to come down to the ground floor and undergo tests at labs near cooperative medical shops.
SMS Hospital administration plans to shift radiology-related tests also to the Investigation Block. They will include X-ray and sonography.
Newly appointed SMS Hospital superintendent DS Meena said that it was a big step in making patient care hassle free.
“Some issues have come up, but we were expecting those. We will soon sort them out. We are implementing the centralisation project in phases so that we can resolve issues one by one as soon as they are identified,” said Meena.
