Jaipur: Jaipur is gearing up to host the 25th edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) for the first time. This event will take place on March 8 and 9, 2025, at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center (JECC), making it a historic moment for the city.
Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, and Shahid Kapoor will deliver performances during the two-day celebration. The event will be hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Kartik Aaryan, adding glamour and charm to the festivities.
The theme for the 2025 IIFA Awards is “Silver is the New Gold,” symbolizing 25 years of tradition and achievement in Indian cinema. The first day, March 8, will feature the IIFA Digital Awards, highlighting groundbreaking work in digital and OTT platforms. The grand finale on March 9 will honor the best of Indian cinema with awards and performances.
As part of an eco-friendly initiative, the event will also focus on environmental conservation through the “IIFA Green Challenge.” Every guest and celebrity attending will plant a tree, contributing to the creation of an “IIFA Garden.” This initiative, in collaboration with the Rajasthan government, was announced at a press event in Mumbai attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Kartik Aaryan, and Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari.
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari described the event as a significant moment for Rajasthan, boosting its cultural identity, tourism, and economy. Shah Rukh Khan also expressed excitement, sharing tips with Kartik Aaryan on how to welcome guests with Rajasthan’s signature hospitality.
The JECC venue will be transformed with grand decorations, with preparations starting a month ahead. Organizers have promised a world-class experience, and tickets will soon be available online.
