‘I am a loser’, girl writes in her suicide note and hangs self in Jaipur

23-year-old Sheel Mahavar was preparing for competitive examinations

Jaipur: A 23-year-old girl, identified as Sheel Mahavar committed suicide by hanging herself at her rented room in Swej Farm in Jaipur’s Mahesh Nagar area.

The girl was preparing for competitive examinations in the city. She left a suicide note in which she stated that she was ending her life because nobody liked her and she couldn’t achieve anything in life. He sought apology from her parents and sister. The police have handed over the body to family members after a postmortem examination.

Sheel Mahawar was a resident of Shashtri Nagar in Ajmer and lived in SB Vihar colony in Jaipur. “She stayed at a rented room with her elder sister, Payal, and was preparing for competitive examinations. Payal is a psychology teacher at a private school,” said a police officer.

When Payal went to school, Sheel hanged herself from the ceiling of their room using a stole.

When the police were informed, a team from Mahesh Nagar police station immediately rushed to the spot and got the body down. They informed the family members.

“We recovered a suicide note. She wrote that she was a loser and nobody liked her, so she was committing suicide,” said the officer.

“I am sorry. Please take care of mummy and papa,” she wrote addressing her sister.

The girl’s parents arrived in the city on Tuesday following which a postmortem examination was conducted. The body has been handed over to family members.
