Honour killing in Sikar: Man kills daughter, her paramour

Jaipur: In an alleged honour killing case, a man murdered his daughter and her married boyfriend by strangling them in Ranoli area of Sikar district. The accused man stuffed the bodies in a sack and then dumped in Jeenmata Hills. The police arrested the father and recovered the bodies on Wednesday.
According to the police, the accused, identified as Ramgopal (38) runs a shop in Khatushyam Ji. His 18-year-old daughter, identified as Prem, was in a relationship with one Ganpat. Ganpat was already married. Ramgopal came to know about their relationship.
Ramgopal along with his friends kidnapped Prem and Ganpat and then strangled the couple to death. They then dumped the bodies in the hills.
Ramgopal registered an FIR with Khatushyam police alleging that his daughter had been kidnapped. He even identified some people in the FIR accusing them of kidnapping Prem. The police launched an investigation. Ramgopal became a suspect when the footages of a CCTV installed at a petrol pump showed Ramgopal forcing Prem and Ganpat into a car.
“We suspect involvement of more people in the case. Ramgopal has already been arrested. The role of others is under investigation,” said a police officer.
He added the bodies have been recovered.
