Honour killing in Raj: Man kills brother and friend of daughter’s paramour

Jaipur: A man killed the brother and friend of his daughter’s paramour, in yet another honor killing case in Rajasthan.

The incident took place in Jaitpura village in Buhana area of Jhunjhunu district. The boyfriend, identified as Krishna, had eloped with the accused man’s married daughter recently. Even after the accused man, identified as Anil, was arrested, he kept telling the cops that he would kill Krishna too after getting out of jail.

Anil is a resident of Pathrava village in Haryana. The village is situated on Haryana-Rajasthan border. His daughter is married. Anil alleged that Krishna, a resident of Jaitpura, eloped with his married daughter, bringing disgrace to his family. The woman’s in-laws registered a missing person’s report with the police on June 2. The cops were looking for the couple. In the meantime, Anil was issuing threats to Krishna’s family members.

On Monday night, Anil arrived in Jaitpura village on his bike. Anil reached Krishna’s home and killed Krishna’s brother Deepak and then Deepak’s friend Naresh. Deepak and Naresh were friends and both preparing for army recruitment. For this reason, Naresh used to stay over at Deepak’s house. Anil attacked the two friends who were sleeping on the rooftop of the house.

When Deepak’s father Rajveer work up in the morning and went to the rooftop, he saw Deepak and Naresh lying in a pool of blood. He informed the police. Based on CCTV footages and other evidence, the police arrested Anil and booked him for homicide.

Anil kept threatening Krishna’s family members even in police custody. He threatened that after getting out of jail, he would find Krishna and kill him.
