Jaipur: Helicopter rides to explore historical forts of Rajasthan, like the Amer and Jaigarh forts in Jaipur, will soon be made available to people. The state government is in the process of finalizing the project and has already received an approval from the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Amer is one of the most iconic forts of the country and a popular tourist destination. A new feature like this will further increase its appeal.

The government has planned to include different packages for the helicopter ride. Along with Amer, it will also start this project for Jaigarh Fort. The likes of Sawai Madhopur and Chittorgarh are also expected to be added later to this project. The helicopter packages will include a trip ranging from to two hours to an entire day. Multi-engine 8-seater helicopters have been planned for this project.

The tourism department has been assigned the task of finalizing the project after a meeting between the Central Aviation Minister Jayant Sinha and CM Vasundhara Raje. Once the project is successfully launched, the government will add other heritage sites as well. Tourism is a major industry in the state and projects like these will further contribute to enhancing the image of Rajasthan.
