JAIPUR: How would you feel if you had the chance to see the beauty of Jaipur from the sky? Your answer would most likely be “great”. Well, now the wait is over as tourists can now see the major tourist spots in Jaipur by helicopter starting from Friday. The helicopter joy ride launched by the tourism department will feature an aerial tour of the Aravali forests, Amer Fort, Nahargarh, Jaigarh, Jalmahal, and Hawa Mahal, among others. The ticket price for this ride is between Rs 5,000 and Rs 15,000.
Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) has partnered with Aone Helicopters India for the helicopter tour.
Aone Helicopters MD Mashia Rathore told media persons that there would be two packages for the ariel tour of Jaipur on a helicopter. The short-duration helicopter tour packet would cost Rs 5,000 per person. In this package, the tourists would be taken on an ariel tour of Amer Fort and nearby Aravali hills and forests for five minutes. In the long-duration package, the tour would be 15 minutes long. The tourists would be taken on an ariel tour of Amer, Walled City, Jaigath Fort, Jal Mahal and other nearby popular tourist destinations.

Furthermore, in the coming days, this facility will also be available in other major cities, including Jodhpur and Udaipur. Preparations are underway to start helicopter services for visiting religious places in Rajasthan. The Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) is currently planning this venture.
During the press conference held at the RTDC building in Jaipur on Thursday, Chairman Dharmendra Rathore shared all the information related to the helicopter joy ride. He announced that tourists would start the helicopter journey from Shiv Vilas Hotel located in Kukas. In a journey lasting five to seven minutes, the major tourist places of Jaipur will be shown.
Chairman Dharmendra Rathore also confirmed that after Jaipur, helicopter joy rides would start in Udaipur, with a special circle being prepared for devotees visiting the temple. Devotees will be able to go to Khatushyam ji, Salasar Hanuman temple, and Pushkar by helicopter.
After this, helicopter joy rides will be started at other tourist places, including Ranthambore and Ghana Bird Sanctuary (Bharatpur). The idea of starting cruise tourism in Chambal is also under consideration.
Rathore informed that RTDC had already started helicopter joy rides in Jaisalmer and Ajmer, and had received positive feedback from tourists. Therefore, similar facilities would soon be started in other cities of the state, including Udaipur, Sawaimadhopur, and Jodhpur.
