Jaipur: Rajasthan Governor, Kalyan Singh, has stopped the recruitment process for the five posts of Deputy Registrar in Rajasthan University. This decision was taken after the governor received complaints of irregularities.
Rajasthan University recruited five Deputy Registrars named Rakesh Rao, Rajkumar Jain, Kuldeep Mishra, Arvind Sharma and Shruti Shekhawat recently, but the governor has asked the university administration not to give them appointment. The governor has asked for a report on 19 points of the recruitment process from Vice chancellor Professor R.K Kothari by August 21.
A letter has been sent to VC Kothari to stop the recruitments and appointment for the post with immediate effect till further notice. The governor has asked the VC not to appoint the selected candidates until a probe into the matter is completed.
Reasons for stopping the recruitments are as following:
- The candidates who got shortlisted on the basis of cutoff were called for document verification and then those candidates who did not clear cutoff were also called.
- Some of the candidates who have been charged for corruption were also recruited.
- One of the candidates submitted fake pay slip and got recruited.
Earlier also the governor had stayed the recruitments of assistant professor in the physics and chemistry departments of the university.
