Golf carts will be available to tourists when the rounds of elephant safaris come to an end in the morning.

The service of golf carts was inaugurated at Amer fort on Wednesday. These modern vehicles have been given a vintage design adding to the overall appeal of the carts.

State tourism minister Krishnendra Kaur Deepa inaugurated the service introducing 10 golf carts in the first phase. More golf carts will be made available to tourists in the coming days.

The authorities had offered free rides to all visitors for three days prior to the official inauguration of the service.

Once satisfied with the results of the trial, they decided to launch the service that is sure to attract several more visitors to this popular tourist landmark. The prices decided for the rides are for an initial period only and are expected to be reviewed in coming months.

Golf carts are being used after the time for the elephant safari has elapsed. From 11 am until evening these new vintage vehicles will serve the visitors.
