Gogamedi murder: Searches carried out in 5 states
The police have imposed a Category A blockade in Jaipur and are searching for the miscreants in five states, including UP, Haryana, Punjab, and MP.

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Police are investigating the murder of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena President Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, who was shot dead in Jaipur on Tuesday.
The police have imposed a Category A blockade in Jaipur and are searching for the miscreants in five states, including UP, Haryana, Punjab, and MP.
The police team, including the Jaipur Commissionerate, ATS, SOG, and CID, are conducting raids at possible hideouts in Bikaner and other areas. The police are also interrogating habitual criminals and those lodged in jails in UP, Haryana, and Rajasthan.
The Director General of Police (DGP), Umesh Mishra, said that the Rajasthan Police have become more active after the incident and are sharing photos of the miscreants with other neighboring states. However, no leads have been obtained so far.
The police are also interrogating three criminals who murdered a man named Raju Thehat in Bikaner jail and one criminal in Jaipur jail. A team from Jaipur is interrogating criminals lodged in jails in UP and Haryana who have committed crimes in Rajasthan in the past.
The police are sure that they will get some clue about the miscreants from the jail, as some of the criminals being interrogated have a history of murder, extortion, threat, and extortion. The police are also interrogating henchmen of Rohit Godara, a gangster who shared a post on social media taking responsibility for the murder.
On Tuesday in broad daylight, three miscreants opened fire on Gogamedi and escaped. Gogamedi was declared brought dead at Metro Mass Hospital, while his security guard, Ajit Singh, was seriously injured by the bullet. Naveen Shekhawat, the young man who had taken him to Gogamedi’s house, also died in the firing.
