Girl on school picnic drowns in a pit at a resort in Jaipur
Suspecting foul play, the family members refused to accept the body.

Jaipur: A 9-year-old student of a private school in Vaishali Nagar was found dead in a pit dug up for water harvesting of Kanchan Kesari resort where her school had organized a picnic for its students, according to media reports.
Suspecting foul play, the family members refused to accept the body and demanded a postmortem examination by a medical board.
The girl Piyanka Kumari, was a student Rebus Public School in Vaishali Nagar. The school administration took 141 students for a picnic at Kanchan Kesari Resort near Mahapura Road on Ajmer-Jaipur National Highway.
It was alleged that the girl fell into a pit dug up for water harvesting on the resort premises.
The girl’s father Sitaram who works in the army, refused to accept the body saying that some foul play was involved in her death. He has registered a complaint against the school and resort administration with the police.
The girl’s brother Avinash also studies in the same school. The father alleged that they received a call from someone in the school that his daughter had drowned at the resort and she had died.
