JAIPUR: A girl, who studied in Class 10, committed suicide due to study pressure. The girl named Khushbu was found hanged in her home in New Colony, Lalsot town, Dausa district on Thursday morning.

Police arrived at the scene after receiving information about the incident. A suicide note was recovered, in which Khushbu wrote that she would be unable to score above 95 percent and was upset about it.

Khushbu’s first 10th board exam was scheduled for 16 days later, and she was studying at home. During the incident, her younger brother, who is in the fourth grade, was also present in the house. Khushbu’s mother had gone to pay her younger brother’s school fees when the incident occurred.

Khushbu was considered an intelligent student by her teachers, and there was no apparent reason for her to be under so much stress. Her exams were still over two weeks away, and her family members were shocked by her sudden decision.

Khushbu’s father, a government teacher working in the Jalore district, rushed to Lalsot upon hearing the news of his daughter’s death. Khushbu’s family members are deeply saddened by the incident, and they cannot understand why Khushbu took such an extreme step. Her parents are devastated and unable to comprehend that their daughter, who was studying in the tenth grade, could have committed suicide.

The family is in shock, and Khushbu’s four-year-old younger brother repeatedly asks about his sister. Khushbu’s mother expressed that they never forced her to study and always told her that grades did not matter. Nevertheless, Khushbu put immense pressure on herself to be a topper, leading to her tragic decision.
