If you are seeking to attain inner peace while keeping yourself physically fit, you should definitely try to make Yoga an essential part of your daily life. A lot of programs are being organized on the International Yoga Day on June 21 in Jaipur. Major yoga centers across the city are offering people the opportunity to learn how they can take their first steps in the practice of Yoga. These centers are offering free health check-ups and free yoga tips to anyone willing to learn this ancient art. Some centers are even organizing yoga competitions.
Here are a few of the activities that you can participate in on the International Yoga Day in Jaipur:
Yoga Peace Sansthan in Shashtri Nagar
Yoga guru and founder of Yoga Peace Sansthan Dhakaram who is also the president of International Naturopathy Organization’s (INO) Jaipur chapter said that under the banner of INO, they are organizing more than 71 yoga camps across the city.
The week-long program began on June 15 and will end on the International Yoga Day on June 21. People can participate in this free program and learn yoga.

“INO has set a target that at least 50 lakh people should practice yoga during the seven-day camps across the country. We will try to contribute as much as possible and help the organization achieve this target,” said Dhakaram.
He added that more than half a dozen yoga centers in Jaipur are participating in the camps and encouraging people to make yoga an essential part of their lives.
Dhakaram will also teach yoga to more than 1500 prisoners of Jaipur Central Jail on the International Yoga Day.
He said that Yoga is a way of life. “People run after worldly pleasures, but when they eventually achieve them, they realize that materialistic approach in life can’t bring happiness. Yoga can help you be at peace with yourself no matter who you are and whatsituation you are facing in life,” said Dhakaram.
FitYog in Nirman Nagar
Arvind Singh Sajwan who runs FitYog at Mishra Marg in Nirman Nagar said that they are organizing a free health check-up at their yoga center on June 21.
“Anyone can walk in between 6 am – 8 am and avail a completely free health check-up. We will also provide free yoga tips,” Arvind told The PinkCity Post.
He said that four generations of learners would participate in the yoga practice at their center on the International Yoga Day.
Arvind believes that a lot of people go to gym which is good because it keeps your body healthy, but the practice of yoga is different because it keeps not only your body, but mind also healthy. He advises that everyone – from children to elderly people – should include yoga in their fitness regime.
Yogasthali Yoga Society in Chitrakoot

Umesh Sharma from Yogasthali Yoga Society situated in Nityananda Nagar in Chitrakoot area said that they will organize free yoga session for an hour between 7 am – 8 am on the International Yoga Day. They are planning to organize some outdoor yoga activities.
“We are in fact organizing an outdoor Yoga session at 5.30 am at Chitrakoot Stadium June 16. Anyone can participate. We are reaching out to as many people as possible to create a big impact of the Yoga International Day in Jaipur,” said Umesh.
Yogamrit in Civil Lines
Dr Aruna Jain from Yogamrit situated in Civil Lines said that they are organizing a yoga competition on the International Yoga Day in Jaipur on June 21. “Anyone can participate in the competition. The participants who perform the best in various Yoga postures will get trophies,” said Dr Gupta.
Bhaskar Yoga & Wellness in Rajapark
Yukti Uppal from Bhaskar Yoga & Wellness situated in Rajapark said that they organize yoga programs individually every year, but they are planning to be part of a big Yoga event being organized under Sankalp Se Siddhi at Alankar Plaza in Vidhyadhar Nagar.
“We will organize a lot of yoga and fitness related activities there,” said Yukti.
Yoga Camp by Sankalp Se Siddhi in Vidhydhar Nagar
Praveen Khetan from Sankal Se Siddhi said that a big yoga camp is being organized at Alankar Plaza in Vidhyadhar Nagar on June 21. More than 3000 people are likely to take part.
More than 2000 kids will be gifted free T-shirts. Free health check-up will also be organized. More than 15 yoga teachers will give tips on Yoga. Many BJP leaders, MPs and ministers will attend the event.
