Jaipur: Jaipur police arrested two men identified as Firoz and Nizamuddin for firing gun shots to scare off pedestrians near a restaurant in Raja Park area in the city on February 20. The firing was caught on CCTV creating panic.

Police officials said that the gang was involved in another firing incident on the same day. The key accused history sheeter Aslam aka Munna Talwar is still absconding. Police teams are searching for him. The police identified the accused men with the help of CCTV footages.

Firoz aka Bablu (43) is a resident of Bagruwala Walo Ka Rasta and another aid of Munna Talwar, Nizamuddin aka Riku is a native of Nahari Ka Naka of the city. They both were with Munna when the latter fired gunshots.

ACP, Manak Chowk Brijendra Singh Bhati said that Bablu and Riku were arrested near Delhi Bypass road on Saturday. They are remanded in police custody for two days  by a court.  More than eight cases are registered against Bablu with different police stations of the city.

“Police teams are questioning the two accused and the search operation for history sheeter Munna Talwar is going on” said officials.

According to the police, Munna with his two aides fired gunshots near Mini Adda restaurant at Raja park area and Shatar Walo Ki Gali near Delhi bypass Road in the wee hours of Wednesday. A man sitting on a chair on the roadside had a narrow escape. The shooters were in an SUV and apparently intoxicated.
