Firing in Jhotwara: History-sheeter Pradeep Yadav shot at

Jaipur: Panic gripped Jhotwara area on Sunday when two men shot at a history-sheeter – identified as Pradeep Yadav – inside an office in broad daylight. Pradeep sustained bullet injuries on his shoulder. He was rushed to a hospital where his condition is stated to be out of danger. Pradeep has over a dozen criminal cases registered against him with Jhotwara police station. Police officials said that a search has been launched for the shooters who have been identified.

Pradeep, a resident of Sahajpura have an office near his house. He was sitting in the office around 5.30 pm when two bikers wearing helmets came there. They stayed inside the office for nearly 10 minutes. Some children playing outside heard gunshots. They also saw the bikers rushing out of the office and then getting away on their bike. Some local residents entered the office they found Pradeep in a pool of blood. A team from Jhotwar police station rushed Pradeep to SMS Hospital where he is undergoing treatment. Though Pradeep has several criminal cases registered against him, no fresh FIR was lodged in the past three years.

A police officer said that the family members have accused Himanshu Jangid and Bunty – who also have criminal cases – of the shooting. The police have launched a search for the duo.
