Father-son duo stabbed to death over land dispute in Jaipur

Jaipur: A father-son duo was stabbed to death over a land dispute between two brothers and their families in Amber area of Jaipur on Friday. Two others including a woman were injured in the clash. The incident took place in Tibari Ki Dhani near Chenpura in Amber area. The deceased, identified as Roop Naryan, had a land dispute with his brother Prabhu Narayan. On Friday morning, Roop Narayan went to the disputed land with his son Harman and started sowing. Prabhu Narayan reached the farm land with some youths and allegedly attacked Roop Narayan with knives. When the son tried to intervene, Prabhu Narayan stabbed him also. Both died of excessive bleeding and knife wounds. Roop Narayan’s wife and elder son Lokesh were also injured in the attack. Both were rushed to SMS Hospital where they are undergoing treatment. The bodies of the two victims were put in the mortuary of the hospital, but the family members refused to take them, demanding immediate arrest of the culprits. Police force was deployed in the village to maintain law and order. The accused men are at large, police said adding that a search has been launched for them.
