Ex-chief minister Ashok Gehlot’s cousin dies in road accident in Sikar

Jaipur: A woman, identified as Dr Sheela Gehlot, was killed while her husband was seriously injured when the car they were travelling in collided with an ambulance in Sikar. The victim was the cousin of former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot.
An ambulance was trying to overtake a vehicle when it collided head-on with the victim’s car. The victim’s husband has been admitted in Jaipur’s SMS Hospital in critical condition.
The mishap occurred on Jaipur-Bikaner Bypass around 3 pm. Sheela was a resident of Jodhpur and currently living in Bikaner. She was coming to Jaipur with her husband, Dr RC Gehlot on Sunday. Their driver Hariram was also with them.
An ambulance of a private hospital was overtaking another vehicle near Chandpura Bypass. It first rammed into a truck and lost balance. It then collided with the car in which Sheela was travelling.
Former cabinet minister Subash Maharia was also passing by the area and when saw the accident, he rushed the injured people to hospital in his car. Sheela died, while her husband and the driver are undergoing treatment.
