By election: BJP nominates Jaswant Yadav for Alwar parliamentary constituency

Jaswant Yadav will be pitted against Karan Singh Yadav who has been fielded by Congress. The election will be fought on caste lines as Yadavs are a dominant caste in Alwar.

Jaswant Singh Yadav declared BJP candidate for Alwar in upcoming by elections in Rajasthan.

Jaipur: BJP has nominated Jaswant Yadav as its candidate for Alwar parliamentary constituency in the by election scheduled to take place on January 29.

Jaswant Yadav will be pitted against Karan Singh Yadav who has been fielded by Congress. The election will be fought on caste lines as Yadavs are a dominant caste in Alwar.

Dr. Jaswant Singh Yadav is an Indian politician is MLA from Behror constituency in Alwar.

BJP declared Jaswant Yadav’s name on Sunday, just three days before the last date of nominations.

The Alwar parliamentary seat fell vacant when the then MP Mahant Chandnath passed away in September while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Delhi. He was 61-year-old.

BJP has also declared its candidates for Ajmer parliamentary constituency and Mandalgarh assembly constituency. Ramswaroop Lamba, the son of late MP and prominent Jat community leader has been declared the BJP candidate for Ajmer, while Shakti Singh will fight the election at BJP’s ticket for Mandalgarh.

The election will take place on January 29, while the counting of votes on February 2.

The elections are being taken quite seriously by both the parties as the results will reflect the mood of electorates before Rajasthan goes to polls by the end of this year.

BJP has already performed poorly in the panchayat elections.
