JAIPUR: In a major breakthrough, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested one of the prime suspects in the REET 2021 paper leak case.
Ramkripal Meena, the accused, was taken into custody by the agency on Wednesday and subsequently presented before the court. Following the proceedings, the court remanded Ramkripal in ED custody until June 27.
Senior ED officials are presently conducting an interrogation of Ramkripal Meena at the ED headquarters in Jaipur.
Meena has allegedly disclosed vital information, including the involvement of influential individuals. The ED possesses several important documents, potentially serving as evidence against those implicated alongside Ramkripal Meena.
The ED is actively investigating possible money laundering activities associated with the REET paper leak case. It is reported that officials from Delhi have been dispatched to Jaipur to assist in the inquiry. The involvement of these officers suggests a wider network of individuals and the potential for further legal action.
Ramkripal Meena is accused of leaking the REET paper from the Jaipur Shiksha Sankul. The Special Operations Group (SOG) had previously apprehended the mastermind Bhajanlal, as well as Udaram Bishnoi from Jalore and Ramkripal Meena from Jagannathpuri.
Investigations have revealed that Meena provided the leaked paper to Udaram in Jaipur. The REET paper, prior to the examination, was securely stored in the Shiksha Shankul’s strong room. Ramkripal Meena, who also operates the Shivshakti Public School in Jaipur, was responsible for the leak.
The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) recently demolished both the SS College and SS Public School owned by Ramkripal Meena. The three-storey building housing these institutions was demolished by the JDA as part of its enforcement actions. Ramkripal Meena had established the school and college in Jagannath Colony, located near the Gopalpura bypass.
