Dr Vinod Joshi appointed acting principal of RUHS College of Medical Sciences

JAIPUR: The medical education department has appointed Dr. Vinod Joshi as the acting principal and controller of superintendent RUHS College of Medical Sciences in Jaipur. Dr Joshi is currently the head of the Institute of Respiratory Diseases attached to SMS Medical College. As per the orders issued by the department, Dr Vinod Joshi will continue to hold the post till further orders in this regard.

Dr. Vinod Joshi has been posted on deputation in RUHS. Dr. Joshi drew attention and praise for his work during the Covid-19 pandemic. Sources said that he was appointed for the post of principal based on based on the recommendation of RUHS Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sudhir Bhandari.

In a separate order issued by the RUHS administration, Dr. Sudhanshu Kakkar, who is a senior professor in the Department of Physiology, has been appointed as an additional principal. Apart from this, Dr. Tarun Lal has been given the responsibility of the Department of Anesthesia as well as the Acting Additional Principal. The administration is preparing to start UG as well as PG courses in the medical colleges affiliated to RUHS and to develop facilities for the patients in the hospital.

The majority of staff until recently was from SMS Hospital.
