The state government has appointed Dr Anil Kumar Jain as the new principal of JLN Medical College in Ajmer. Both will remain principals until the committee formed for the appointment doesn’t come up with names for permanent appointments at both the medical colleges.

Jaipur: The Rajasthan government on Friday appointed Dr Sudhir Bhandari as the officiating principal of SMS Medical College in Jaipur. The tug of war finally ended with the appointment. Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje gave her node to his appointment, putting to end the tussle over the post that has been going on for the past many days.
The state government has appointed Dr Anil Kumar Jain as the new principal of JLN Medical College in Ajmer. Both will remain principals until the committee formed for the appointment doesn’t come up with names for permanent appointments at both the medical colleges.
The Rajasthan government had decided not to appoint doctors aged above 62 years for administrative duties, but former SMS Medical College principal Dr US Agarwal moved Rajasthan high court against the government’s order.
The court quashed the petition filed by Dr Agarwal on Wednesday.
Sources said that Dr Sudhir Bhandari can be appointed on a permanent basis for three years.
