Dr L Harshwardhan appointed new superintendent of Kanwatia Hospital in Jaipur

Jaipur: Dr L. Harshwardhan has been appointed the new superintendent of Kanwatia Hospital situated in Shashtri Nagar area of Jaipur. He was appointed for the post after Dr Mohan Lal Meena resigned over alleged mismanagement at the hospital and the lack of cooperation from the hospital staff.
Harshwardhan joined the office of the hospital superintendent within few hours of Meena’s resignation being accepted. Harshwardhan will continue to keep the charge of Banipark satellite hospital.
Sources said that Dr Mohan Lal Meena was not happy with the alleged mismanagement of funds by the accounting branch of the hospital. He was also complaining of lack of cooperation from the hospital staff members, particularly the accounting branch.
Meena had submitted his resignation to SMS Medical College principal Dr US Agarwal five days. His resignation was accepted on Thursday.
An audit report had highlighted many irregularities in the hospital’s accounting branch.
It was alleged that a tender had been issued for the supply of drugs to the hospital in 2015. There were complaints of irregularities in the tender process and the payment to the company that supplied the drugs.
