Diya Kumari’s husband Narendra Singh to contest Rajasthan elections 2018!

Narendra Singh left for Sawai Madhopur from Jaipur on Saturday to file his nomination from Sawai Madhopur. He will file the nomination on Monday as he plans to contest the Rajasthan polls of 2018 in place of her wife Diya Kumari.

Jaipur: In a major announcement from the erstwhile royal family of Jaipur, BJP MLA Diya Kumari’s husband Narendra Singh will fight the Rajasthan assembly elections 2018 from Sawai Madhopur constituency in place of his wife former princess Diya Kumari.

The announcement was made on Saturday even as the BJP is yet to select the candidate for Sawai Madhopur constituency. Earlier, BJP legislator from Sawai Madhopur Diya Kumari made her intentions clear not to fight elections this time and mentioned that she will contest only if the party will ask her.

Sawai Madhopur MP Diya Kumari earlier said that she is not interested in contesting the Rajasthan polls of 2018. If the BJP will want her to contest the elections, she will not deny.

Diya Kumari’s name didn’t figure on any of the two lists of candidates released by the BJP so far.

Jaipur’s erstwhile Royal Family’s part Diya Kumari had joined the BJP in 2003 and won the seat from Sawai Madhopur. She is the daughter of the last Maharaja of Jaipur, Sawai Bhawani Singh, and Padmini Devi.
