Jaipur: Air travelers from Jaipur are set to benefit from improved connectivity to Mumbai with the launch of a new direct flight to Navi Mumbai Airport, increasing the total number of daily flights on the Jaipur–Mumbai sector to 13.
The new service, operated by IndiGo, commenced operations today and marks the first time Jaipur has received direct connectivity to Navi Mumbai Airport, offering passengers an alternative to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
New Flight Schedule and Timing
The newly introduced IndiGo flight departs Jaipur at 5:10 pm and arrives at Navi Mumbai Airport at 6:55 pm. On the return leg, the aircraft departs Navi Mumbai earlier in the day and reaches Jaipur in the afternoon, ensuring convenient evening travel for passengers heading west.
According to airline booking data, ticket prices on the new route are currently ranging between ₹5,500 and ₹9,200, depending on demand and seat availability. With this addition, passengers now have greater flexibility in choosing flight timings, airlines, and arrival airports within the Mumbai metropolitan region.
Airport authorities confirmed that Navi Mumbai International Airport, inaugurated earlier by the Prime Minister, is gradually expanding commercial operations. The airport is operated by the Adani Group, and its integration into regular flight schedules is expected to ease congestion at Mumbai’s primary airport over time.
Mumbai has now joined a select group of Indian cities served by more than one operational airport, enhancing regional air traffic distribution.
With the latest addition, Jaipur now has multiple daily connections to Mumbai operated by Air India, Air India Express, IndiGo and SpiceJet, covering early morning to late-night departures. Until now, all flights from Jaipur landed only at Mumbai’s main international airport; the Navi Mumbai connection introduces a new option for passengers bound for suburban and eastern parts of the city.
Aviation experts believe the new route will be particularly useful for business travelers, connecting flights, and passengers looking to avoid peak-hour congestion. As more airlines begin operating from Navi Mumbai Airport, further improvements in connectivity are expected.
