JAIPUR: Direct flights will be available from Jaipur International Airport to six different cities in the country from next month.
Additionally, there may be a new international flight added to the schedule. The airport officials have not yet released the complete details for these flights, but they are expected to be included in the summer season schedule that will be released at the end of this month.
The proposed domestic flights will connect Jaipur to Bareilly, Belgaum, Pant Nagar, Nagpur, Ranchi, and Patna. Indigo, Star Air, and Air Asia have proposed to operate these flights. Similarly, there may be a new international flight available from Jaipur to Kuala Lumpur.
Although the specific start dates and times for these flights have not yet been released, they are expected to be included in the upcoming summer schedule.
The state government has also announced a reduction in VAT on air fuel from 26% to 2% in the upcoming budget, which is expected to increase the number of flights to and from Jaipur. With cheaper air fuel, airlines may choose to route their flights through Jaipur, Jodhpur, or Udaipur.
