Depressed over doctored video of wedding uploaded on YouTube, woman jumps off building in Jaipur

Jaipur: A videographer doctored the video of a woman’s wedding and uploaded it on YouTube. The video went viral and drew offensive comments. The woman felt so humiliated that she attempted suicide by jumping off the third floor of her in-laws’ house in Vaishali Nagar area of Jaipur.
The police have now detained two men in connection with the incident and had the video taken down from YouTube. The woman survived the fall, but is undergoing treatment in a critical condition.
The woman is a resident Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. She got married to a man from Vaishali Nagar in Jaipur in November last year.
Someone doctored the video of her wedding and uploaded on YouTube nearly four months ago. The woman became depressed after she watched the video as there were many humiliating comments and attempted suicide.
According to the police, one Deepak alias Dipu, a resident of Mathura, was hired for videography by the family members of the bride. For video mixing, Deepak gave the video to one Sanjay Saini, owner of Avnish Studio in DD Plaza.
It is alleged that Sanjay doctored the video and uploaded it on YouTube. Mathura police have taken Sanjay and his friend into custody and interrogating him.
