Daughter of Rajasthan IPS officer Binita Thakur dies in America

JAIPUR: The 23-year-old elder daughter of IPS Binita Thakur, currently posted as additional director general, passed away in America.
The young woman was studying in a hostel in Boston and had been planning to return to Jaipur in May after completing her degree.
The dean of the college reached out to ADG Thakur by email to inform her of her daughter’s passing, and a post-mortem examination was conducted in America on Monday. The cause of death will not be confirmed until the post-mortem report is made available.
It is expected that the young woman’s body will arrive in Jaipur on either Thursday or Friday. Upon learning of the tragedy, several IAS and IPS officers visited ADG Thakur’s home in Gandhi Nagar to offer their condolences on Monday.
