Jaipur: Diwan Syed Zainul Abedin Ali Khan, spiritual leader and the descendant of the Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti has once again urged the Muslim community to cooperate with Rajputs regarding Bollywood film Padmavati.

Taking a dig at the film industry, Syed Zainul Abedin Ali Khan said, “These people are playing with the feelings of Rajputs today, tomorrow they will play with the feelings of the Muslims as well.” He said that the history of Rajputs has always been glorious. According to him Rani Padmavati and 16 thousand women who committed Jauhar not only made the Rajputs proud but also other societies.

For Rani Padmavati’s Jauhar, the spiritual leader stated that such rare incidents of history not only make people of Rajasthan hold their heads high but also make other people of the country feel the same. He stated that history shouldn’t be tampered with.

Syed Zainul Abedin Ali Khan has also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to see this movie decide its future. He said that Muslims are also proud of Rani Padmavati and the history of Rajputs. Earlier this week, he had compared Sanjay Leela Bhansali to Salman Rushdie, Taslima Nasrin, and Tariq Fateh while supporting the opposition of Padmavati. He claimed that Bhansali had hurt the religious feelings of the Rajput community as well as that of the country by creating a film which has tampered with history.
