Dairy collection agent attacked with iron rods; robbed of Rs 6 lakh

Jaipur: In a broad daylight robbery in Shiprapath area of Jaipur on Tuesday, some bikers attacked dairy collection agent and snatched a bag containing at least Rs 6 lakh from him.
According to preliminary reports, at least three robbers were involved in the crime. They were on a bike. The police put up barricades after getting the information about the robbery; however, they were yet to get a clue about the identity of the criminals. The police didn’t rule out the possibility that someone who was familiar with the victim’s routine was involved. Police teams are examining footages of CCTVs installed in the area.
The victim was identified as Raju Maheshwari, a resident of Anita Colony in Sanganer. He works as a dairy collection agent. He was carrying over Rs 6 lakh when the incident t took place on Shiprapath Road.
He was on a bike when three men on another bike intercepted him and attacked him with iron rods. The bike lost control. Raju started crying for help, but before anyone could rush to his rescue, the robbers snatched away his bag containing the cash and fled from the spot.
The police have lodged an FIR against unidentified robbers and said that efforts were on to nab them.
