The finance department of the state issued an order regarding this on Friday. Dearness allowance and relief has increased from 9% to 12%. The government will deposit arrears in the EPF accounts. The DA and DR hike are in accordance with the accepted formula, which is based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission. Government employees’ associations welcomed the increase in the DA, saying that it will come as a respite to government workers when the inflation was on the rise. The decision was taken in the union cabinet meeting under the chairmanship of Prime minister Narendra Modi on Monday. The Rajasthan government increased DA by 2% in September before the dates of assembly elections 2018 in the state from 7% to 9%.
