Curfew imposed in more colonies in Jaipur; 206 cases reported in Rajasthan

Jaipur: Curfew has been extended to several colonies in Jawahar Nagar, Bajaj Nagar, Malpura Gate, Kho Nagaurian, Amer and Jalupura police stations area of Jaipur after isolated cases of COVID-19 were reported.
Twenty people tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday, taking the total case count in Jaipur to 1362. The virus infection is spreading at an alarming pace in state with 206 more cases being reported on Thursday. Udaipur continued to be COVID-19 hotspot with 59 more people testing positive. Four people died in the past 24 hours taking the death toll to 125.
In Jaipur, the following areas reported new COVID-19 cases:

- Kukas – 1
- Nahari Ka Naka – 1
- Chandpole – 2
- Gangapole – 2
- Hingonia – 1
- Sanganer – 1
- Dehara – 1
- Shashtri Nagar – 2
- Ghat Gate – 3
- Muralipura Scheme – 1
In Rajasthan, Jodhpur reported 37 cases on Thursday, followed by Jalore (22), Nagaur (17), Jhunjhunu (5), Kota (1), Pali (5), Rajsamand (4), Sikar (7), and Sirohi (8).
Lockdown 3.0 will come to an end in three days, but the rate at which COVID-19 cases are increasing in Rajasthan has left the administration worried. Senior officials said that the majority of people who tested positive are recovering fast which is a major relief.
The total case count in Rajasthan has gone up to 4534. There are 1771 active cases. Of the four people who died on Thursday, one belonged to Jaipur.
