COVID-19 update in Rajasthan: 262 cases reported; death toll reaches 240

Jaipur: As many as 262 COVID-19 cases were reported in Rajasthan on Sunday. Of them, 38 cases were reported in Jaipur alone. Coronavirus cases surfaced in over 26 cases in the district, indicating that the virus is spreading as the government continues to relax the lockdown restrictions.

The total number of cases in Rajasthan have gone up to 10,599. As many as nine deaths were reported on Sunday, taking the toll to 240.

Though the number of cases is increasing at an alarming rate in the state, the fact that the recovery rate is getting better with each passing day is a big relief for the health department. The state has only 2605 cases.

  • Gangapole – 1
  • Transport Nagar – 1
  • Sanganer – 4
  • Bassi – 1
  • Jhalana – 1
  • Mansarovar – 2
  • Riddhi Sidhi Choraha – 1
  • Tonk Road – 1
  • Dudu – 1
  • Jagatpura – 1
  • Malviya Nagar – 1

In Jaipur, shopping malls, restaurants and clubs will reopen on June 8, almost 80 days after lockdown was imposed. The home department officials said that these places will need to follow social distancing guidelines strictly. Legal action will be taken against the management if these guidelines are flouted.
