COVID-19 guidelines: Schools, colleges, gyms, cinema halls to remain closed in Rajasthan

Jaipur: The Rajasthan government has issued fresh guidelines to ease lockdown restrictions in the state. According to the guidelines, schools, colleges, coaching institutes and other educational institutes will remain closed till July 31. The religious places that attract devotees in large numbers will also remain closed. Only those religious places will be allowed to open where the footfall is less than 50 people per day.

Any relaxations provided in these guidelines will not be applicable to hotspots, containment areas or the areas where curfew has been imposed. There would be ban on the transport for non-essential works between 10 pm and 5 am.

Here are a few highlights of the guidelines:

  • Any big religious, social, political, sports, cultural events will not be allowed.
  • Cinema halls, gyms, amusement parks, swimming pools, theatres, bars, auditoriums, assembly halls and other places of this nature will remain closed.
  • Metro train services will also remain closed.

No more than 50 people will be allowed to attend a wedding function. It would be mandatory to inform a magistrate to organize a wedding function. Social distancing guidelines will need to be followed. It would be considered a crime to violate these orders. A hefty amount of fine will be imposed. For cremations and burials, the limit for the maximum number of people allowed to attend has been capped at 20.
