COVID-19: 3 more deaths reported in Rajasthan

Jaipur: Forty-nine new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were reported in the state on Saturday. Three people died of virus infection including a 65-year-old woman belonging to Ramganj area of Jaipur. The highest number of cases were reported in Jaipur. Fifteen people tested positive in the city on Saturday.
The COVID-19 death toll has reached 35 in Rajasthan. The 65-year-old woman belonging to Jaipur was admitted to hospital on April 23. She tested positive on Friday and died on Saturday. A 30-year-old man belonging to Kota also died. He was admitted in MBS Hospital and died on Friday. His report was received on Saturday in which he tested positive. A 65-year-old man died in Jodhpur.
While Jaipur reported 15 new cases on Saturday, Ajmer reported 6 cases. A 10-year-old girl tested positive here. Jodhpur reported 10 cases, Kota and Jhalawar five each, Bharatpur and Dholpur two each and Jhunjhunu, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand and Dungarpur one each. The total number of COVID-19 cases has reached 2083 in the state. It was the lowest number of new cases in 13 days on Saturday.
The Rajasthan government has sought permission from the central government for testing convalescent plasma treatment for COVID-19. Some states including Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Kerala have already started testing the treatment. SMS Hospital will be the first hospital in the state to test this treatment if the permission was received.
