Constable recruitment exam tomorrow; SOG to keep an eye on cheating gangs

Jaipur: The police administration will on Friday conduct the constable recruitment exam for the post of 4,588 constables in the state in Rajasthan. The exam will be held in two shifts over four days at 470 examination centres located in all 32 districts.

The papers will begin on Friday and will be conducted till May 16. About 18.86 lakh candidates have applied to appear in the exam. The police administration has issued the admit cards to all the aspirants online. The candidates can also view the examination centre location online.

Elaborate arrangements have been made to prevent attempts of cheating and copying. Several teams of ATS and SOG have been formed to keep an eye on the cheating gangs. Jammers will be installed at all examination centres to prevent attempts of cheating. Due to the jammers, internet services will not have to be shut down in the entire state. CCTV cameras will also be installed at the examination centres. Entry will be allowed only through biometric attendance and photo ID card.

Director General, Recruitment Binita Thakur said that the recruitment examination will be conducted in two shifts over 4 days. The first shift exam will start at 9:00 am whereas the second shift exam will start at 3:00 pm. Candidates appearing in the exam will be allowed to enter the centre only 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.

In such a situation, if a candidate could not reach the examination centre before 30 minutes. then he will not be allowed to enter. Along with this, legal action will be taken against the candidate if any kind of copying material is found.

Candidates for the constable recruitment examination going to be held in Rajasthan will also be able to travel for free in buses across the state. The candidates will be able to travel in roadways buses from May 12 to May 17 by showing the admit card. This facility will be available in Rajasthan Roadways buses across the state. The Rajasthan Roadways Administration has arranged for the operation of 3200 buses at 52 bus depots.

Temporary bus stands have also been earmarked in Jaipur for the operation of buses on Ajmer Road, Sikar Road, Tonk Road, Delhi Road and Agra Road. Earlier, the government had also provided free travel facilities for REET, Patwari and RAS candidates in government buses.
