Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Nanotechnology – ICAMEN 2019 – held at Manipal University Jaipur

Several academicians from India and abroad participated in the event. Selected research papers were presented from several countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, Serbia, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.

Jaipur: Manipal University of Jaipur (MUJ) hosted a two-day-long International Conference on Advances in Mechanical Engineering and Nanotechnology – ICAMEN 2019 on March 8 and March 9.

The focal theme of the conference was the ongoing advances in the field of Mechanical Engineering and Nanotechnology.

Several academicians from India and abroad participated in the event. Selected research papers were presented from several countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, Serbia, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.

According to the university, the conference screening committee received more than 180 research papers from all parts of the globe. A total of 90 papers were selected after proper screening and review. There were altogether four keynote addresses and eight invited talks.

The conference was a joint venture of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of MUJ and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP). Dr. Santosh Patil and other faculty members of the Department of Mechanical Engineering (MUJ) played a pivotal role in the event.

Vice Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) Dr. Daing Mohammed Nasir Daing Ibrahim was the chief guest in the event. He shared the benefits of international collaboration in making the technical universities stronger.

Guest of honor, former general manager of Steel Authority of India (SAIL) Akhilesh Prasad shared his experience and promoted industry-academia connect.

Dean of UMP engineering department Professor Rizalman Mamat presented a plenary address on Renewable Energy Resources.

Convener of the conference Professor Rahul Goyal stated the relevance and implications of nanotechnology on biofuel and development of other allied fields.

Chairman of the conference professor GL Sharma explained the importance of academic conferences and the necessity of co-operation between different universities for the further development of technology.

Dean of MUJ Engineering department Professor Jagannath Korody emphasized on the importance of practical, experiment-based education, and relevance of industry-academia connect for betterment in engineering education.
