JAIPUR: Visitors to the City Park in Mansarovar, Jaipur will be required to pay an entry fee of Rs 20, as decided by the Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB). The entry ticket, parking fee and charges for the pre-wedding shoot and movie/serial shoot will come into effect from March 9.

The park receives an average of 25 to 30 thousand visitors daily, and charging a fee is necessary to maintain its world-class standard, RHB officials said.

However, entry will be free for morning walkers until 9 am. Children under 12 years of age are exempt from the entry fee, and an annual pass costing Rs 999 will also be available for frequent visitors.  Read also: City Park, Mansarovar: Timings, Ticket Price, Photos [VIDEO]

In addition, visitors will need to pay a parking fee of Rs 20 for two-wheelers and Rs 50 for four-wheelers for up to 3 hours of parking.

Furthermore, the park is a popular location for pre-wedding and film/serial shoots.

To that end, the Housing Board has set fees of Rs 10,000 for pre-wedding shoots and Rs 50,000 per day for film/serial shoots.

Visitors are also required to pay Rs 1,000 for damaging sculptures, electrical equipment, trees, and plants, as well as Rs 50 for littering or plucking flowers. The park will be monitored by guards stationed at various locations.

Rajasthan housing board (RHB) commissioner Pawan Arora said that City Park Mansarovar has become a landmark location not only for people in Jaipur but across the country.

“More than 20,000 people are visiting the park on a daily basis, so we need to generate revenue for the park’s maintenance and upkeep. We have kept the entry ticket price and other charges affordable,” said Arora.
