Jaipur: A CISF inspector identified as Amar Singh Gujjar was killed when a truck rammed into his bike and mowed him down on Thursday night. The victim was deputed at Jaipur Airport, according to preliminary reports.

Accident police station has launched an investigation into the mishap and launched a search for the truck driver who sped away from the spot.

Amar Singh Gujjar lived with his family in Paladi Meena near Jaipur. The mishap occurred on Kumbha Marg in Pratap Nagar police station area.

An overspeeding truck rammed into his bike and then ran over him. He died on the spot.

His body was brought to the mortuary of a nearby hospital and handed over to family members after a postmortem examination.

“It was a hit and run case. We have registered an FIR under laws pertaining to rash and negligent driving against the driver and launched a search for him. We are trying to identify the vehicle involved in the accident,” said a police officer.
