Chomp Stadium in Jaipur to be named ‘Anil Agarwal International Cricket Stadium’
Hindustan Zinc Limited will contribute Rs 300 crore, while the remaining Rs 100 crore will be provided by RCA for the development of first phase.

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) and Hindustan Zinc Ltd., a subsidiary of Vedanta, are set to make history on Rajasthan Day when they sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the renaming of Jaipur’s international cricket stadium. Once the MoU is executed, the stadium will be christened ‘Anil Agarwal International Cricket Stadium, Jaipur.’
Dignitaries attending the event include Dr. C.P. Joshi (Chairman, Raj. Vis & Chief Patron RCA), Vaibhav Gehlot (Chairman, RCA), Priya Agarwal Haber (Chairperson, Hindustan Zinc Ltd. & Director Vedanta Ltd.), Arun Mishra (CEO, Hindustan Zinc Ltd.), and Ritu Jhingon (Director Group Communication, Vedanta Ltd.).
Representatives from the RCA Executive, including Bhavani Shankar Samota (Secretary, RCA), Shakti Singh Rathod (Vice President RCA), Rampal Sharma (Treasurer, RCA), Rajesh Bhadana (Joint Secretary, RCA), and Farooq Ahmed, will also be present.
Located on a 100-acre plot along Delhi Road in Jaipur, the state-of-the-art stadium boasts a seating capacity of 75,000 and is being built in two phases.
The first phase, currently under construction, will accommodate 40,000 spectators at a cost of Rs 400 crore. Hindustan Zinc Limited will contribute Rs 300 crore, while the remaining Rs 100 crore will be provided by RCA.
In addition to its impressive seating capacity, the Anil Agarwal International Cricket Stadium will feature 11 cricket pitches, two practice grounds, a cricket academy, hostel, parking, sports club, hotel, and gym, all constructed to meet international standards.
