Child dies in accident: Mother registers FIR against husband for reckless driving

Woman accuses her husband of killing their son by negligent driving.

Jaipur: A woman has filed an FIR against her husband accusing him of killing their son by driving his bike negligently and recklessly in Jaipur.

Following the death of the son in the accident, the woman, identified as Sunita Devi, approached a court and requested it to order the police to lodge an FIR against her husband Sunny Bairwa. After hearing the plea of the woman, the court directed Kho Nagoriyan police station in the city to launch an investigation.

The woman is a resident of Paldi Meena in Jaipur.

According to the FIR registered by the police, Sunny was taking his son with him on a bike. He was allegedly overspeeding driving recklessly. The wife alleged that it caused the accident. Shreyansh died.

The accident took place on July 15.

Reckless driving is a major cause of accidents in the country.  Nearly 400 people die daily in road crashes. Out of which, 46% are from the age group of 18-35.

The share of two wheelers in total road accidents has increased from 28.8 per cent in 2015 to 33.8 per cent in 2016.
