Jaipur: A day after taking oath, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot with other Congress leaders and MLAs are conducting a meeting at chief minister residence to discuss waiving off farmer’s loan in Rajasthan.
The Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh’s newly elected CMs have already announced that their governments will waive short-term agricultural loans for farmers on Monday.
The Congress leaders are fulfilling the promise made by the Congress President Rahul Gandhi before the Assembly elections 2018 polls. Gandhi had promised that if the Congress comes to power, loan of farmers will be waived off in 10 days.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi in a conversation with media on Tuesday said, ‘The Congress party will not let PM Modi relax till he waves off the farmer’s loans. The Congress party with all opposition parties will unitedly stand with farmers. PM Modi has not waived off a single rupee of farmers in his tenure of four years’.
‘The announcements for waiving short-term agricultural loans for farmers in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have been made. The same will be followed by Rajasthan and other states. During the BJP rule, people have been lied to, farmers and small traders were looted through Demonetization, Rafael and GST schemes. Demonetization is the biggest scam of the world led by PM Modi.’ added Gandhi.
