Chargesheet filed against Priya Seth, 2 others in Dushyant Sharma murder case

The chargesheet contains 388 pages and charges the trio with homicide, kidnap for ransom, criminal conspiracy and several other crimes.

Jaipur: Jhotwara police on Wednesday filed a chargesheet against Priya Seth and her two accomplices in the court of additional chief judicial magistrate -3 in Dushyant Sharma murder case. The chargesheet contains 388 pages and charges the trio with homicide, kidnap for ransom, criminal conspiracy and several other crimes. The chargesheet says the crime against the trio has been established during the investigation.

According to the FIR lodged by the victim’s father, Dushyant Sharma had left his home on the night of May 2. His body was found stuffed in a briefcase on the roadside in Amer area two days letter. The police arrested Priya Seth, Diskhant Kamara and Lakshya. They had demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh from the family members of the victim and then brutally murdered him.

Priya Seth lived in an apartment – Eden Garden Enclave – in Bajaj Nagar’s Anita Colony with her boyfriend Dikshant in a live-in relationship.

The girl had befriended the youth through a dating app Tinder and then started blackmailing him by threatening to implicate him in a bogus rape case. Dushyant had identified himself as businessman from Delhi, so Priya thought that he was rich. Her boyfriend was under huge debts. In order help him pay off his debts, she along with Dikshant and Laksya held Dushyant hostage at her apartment. When the family members deposited Rs 3 lakh in the bank account belonging to the gang, they murdered her and then dumped the body on the roadside after stuffing it in a suitcase, according to the chargesheet.

The court rejected the bail application filed by Dikshant Kamara on Wednesday.
