CA commits suicide by jumping off 4th floor of his apartment building in Jaipur

JAIPUR: A 25-year-old Chartered Accountant (CA), identified as Rakshit Khandelwal, allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the fourth floor of his apartment building in the Muhana Mandi area of Jaipur. He left a suicide note in which he stated that he was depressed over some fake police cases lodged against his family and financial difficulties.
Rakshit’s body was found behind the apartment building on Thursday morning. The victim’s father registered an FIR against a man who allegedly harassed Rakshit and the family by lodging ‘fake’ police cases against them.
Rakshit Khandelwal alias Kana, a resident Muhana Mandi lived with his father Ramakant (48), mother Anju (46) and brother Aryan (22) in the flat located on the fourth floor of the apartment. The family was going through financial difficulties after Ramakant’s textile showroom closed due to losses during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Rakhit was the only bread-earner for the family. Around 4 am on Thursday, Rakhit went to the rear balcony of their flat and cut the safety net and jumped off. It is suspected that he died immediately due to heavy injuries to his head. When Rakshit’s father went into his apartment and found him missing, he looked around and saw the safety net damaged.
He saw Rakhit lying on the ground in a pool of blood. A Muhana police team rushed to the spot and brought the body to a hospital for a postmortem examination.
The police have recovered a suicide note. Rakshit apologized for drinking alcohol and said that he had to do this to muster the courage to commit suicide.
He stated that a man, named Bhim Singh filed false police cases under section 420 of IPC and SC/ST Act against his family in n Jaipur and Bharatpur. His mother was also named as an accused in the FIR. He mentioned the name of a Bharatpur police officer who was supporting Bhim Singh.
He also stated that he was a normal boy, but his family was ruined as all the money was gone. He apologized to his father, mother, brother and girlfriend for taking the extreme step. He pleaded that the harassment of his family should stop.
