Businessman threatened at gunpoint in Jaipur, Lawrence Gang demands Rs 2 crore
The police have arrested history-sheeter, Lucky Ranoli, for the extortion attempt.

JAIPUR: A businessman was threatened allegedly by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in the Vaishali Nagar area of Jaipur. They demanded protection money of Rs 2 crore. The police have arrested the main accused, Lucky Ranoli, for issuing the threats and attempting to extort the victim.
The incident occurred on July 7. Lucky Ranoli approached the businessman while he was seated in his parked SUV, threatening him with a pistol. Accompanied by two others, Lucky Ranoli entered the vehicle and held the businessman hostage at gunpoint.
They started driving around in the Fortuner, with the businessman still inside. The trio then physically assaulted the victim, with Lucky Ranoli hurling abuses and demanding the extortion money of Rs 2 crore.
The trio then left the businessman inside the SUV and disappeared. The victim lodged a First Information Report (FIR) with the Vaishali Nagar police station on July 7.
The police have launched an investigation. CCTV footage from the vicinity was analyzed to identify the culprits involved. On July 9, an informant tipped off the police about Lucky Ranoli’s presence in Vaishali Nagar. A team arrested the notorious criminal.
Lucky Ranoli, a resident of Ranoli in Sikar, has been involved in criminal activities for the past decade. He and his brother, Shakti Singh, are linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Shakti Singh was allegedly involved in the murder of gangster Rohit Thehat, carried out by Lawrence Bishnoi and Rohit Godara.
