Jaipur: The father of IRS officer Binny Sharma who committed suicide last month alleged that her husband Gurpreet Walia had extra-material affair with several women. The father Chandra Mohan Sharma alleged that his son-in-law was harassing his daughter and it was quite evident going by a dairy recovered from Binny’s room by the police. In the dairy, Binny Sharma allegedly wrote that she was a victim of domestic violence.
Some entries in the dairy suggest that Binny felt her life had been ruined by her husband. She mentioned a party after GST was implemented and how she was not feeling like attending it. Instead she was writing the notes in the dairy. She wrote that her life had been destroyed after her marriage and she had nothing to lose. She felt betrayed and her husband didn’t shoulder his responsivities as a father and husband.
Chandra Mohan Sharma further alleged that as per the notes in the dairy, Gurpreet Walia who recently secured interim bail from Rajasthan high court had relations with many women and even exploited a minor domestic help sexually.
Chandra Mohan Sharma raised a question over the police’s lethargy in arresting Gurpreet.
“He got bail recently, but what the cops were doing till now. They could have arrested him, but didn’t,” said Chandra Mohan in a press conference.
