MLA’s son Jeev Raj Nai dies in accident
Jaipur: Fifty-year-old son of Sri Dungargarh MLA Krishan Ram Nai was killed in a road accident on Sunday night. The deceased, identified as Jeevraj Nai, was on his way to Sri Dungargarh in Bikaner district when his car collided with an unidentified vehicle at Sikhwal Vatika. The victim’s car overturned. Jeev Raj Nai sustained serious injuries on his head and died while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
The accident occurred around 11.30pm. Jeevraj was active in local politics and had been the chairman of Sri Dungargarh municipality. The family members, local politicians and police and administration officials rushed to the hospital after getting information about the road accident.
“It has come up during preliminary investigation that Jeevraj was thrown out of his car after the mishap. Some people rushed him to a hospital in Sri Dungargarh from where doctors referred him to a hospital in Bikaner. He died while undergoing treatment,” said a police officer.
The news of Jeevraj’s death saddened his supporters in the area. The body was handed over to the family members after a postmortem examination.
The police have lodged an FIR against the driver of the unidentified vehicles.
“We are studying footages of CCTVs installed in the area to identify the vehicle. A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against the driver. Further investigation is going on,” said the officer.
