Bijli Mitra App: 100 customers to get Rs 5 lakh cash prices for paying electricity bills

Jaipur: Jaipur Discom will give out Rs 5 lakh cash prices to 100 consumers who paid their electricity bills using the Bijli Mitra App in Jaipur. Each consumer will get Rs 5000 cash price for making the payment with the app. The Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JVVNL) officials want to encourage more and more people to make the payment on time in a hassle-free way.

“The winners have been chosen based on a lottery win system. The first lottery results came out on Monday. Nearly 596 consumers who had paid the electricity bills using Bijli Mitra app were selected with a computerized lottery and of them, 100 were announced winners,” said a discom officer.

These winners will get a cash price of Rs 5000 each.

“They won’t get the price in cash, but the amount will be adjusted in their next power bills,” the officer added.

What is Bijli Mitra App?

Jaipur Discom had introduced the Bijli Mitra app to make paying electricity bills extremely easy and convenient. Earlier, a lot of people procrastinated and didn’t deposit bills on time, causing loss of revenue to the department. But now using the Bijali Mitra app, one can make the payment with a single click from the comfort of his or her home.

How to download and use it?

You can download Bijli Mitra App on your Android phone from the Play Store, fill in the required details and use the app for many purposes.

You can use the app to know the total usage of units every month and history of all the power bills you have paid. In this way, you will know how much power your house or office consumed and when you made the payment for the bills and how much.

You can also use the app to make complaint about power theft or inflated bills.

You can apply for a new connection or surrendering your existing power connection. You can also apply for increasing load or changing the name on the bill. You can also connect multiple connections in your name and access all these features at one place.
